Long story short: In 2012, I paid a bunch of money for an awesome looking wooden guitar pick and it broke almost immediately. I was super-bummed. So, I went into the shop. I researched. I developed. I designed a thin wooden guitar pick that wont break.
In order to make them strong enough, most wooden picks available are much thicker than composites, making them tough to play with. I designed these to be thin but firm, every bit as beautiful, and the strongest wooden pick you can get.
I make them in small batches and since then I’ve sold a handful over the years and everyone seams to love them. I’ve been known to randomly hand them out to guitar and mandolin players on the street, in airports, and shows. I’ve heard great things from bass, electric and acoustic guitar, and mandolins.
These remain one of my favorite things I make. They are elegantly complicated and simple at the exact same time. The sound they produce is magical. They have been a great source of joy in my life.
It is worth noting that these picks are not made with kryptonite or magic. Using enough leverage, you could, of course break these picks, they are made of wood. But there is zero chance they are going to break while you are making anything resembling music.
It is no problem to leave them in your pocket through the washing machine. I have done it hundreds of times.
