Scratch Notes to Elegant Reality

My name is Bob Jencks, and I run The Rift Song Workshop – a multi-discipline creative lab in the foothills of Colorado, USA. This is where I bring ideas to life through innovation, creativity, and problem-solving – orchestrating harmony between vision and reality, whether physical or digital, function or form.

My work spans custom wood and metal fabrication, CAD and electronic design, contract research and development, software and app development, and collaborative space for select projects. Some projects are artistic installations for critical listening environments. Others are functional prototypes for new inventions. Some are passion projects exploring new ideas and techniques. Some exist entirely in the digital realm, while others require hands-on craftsmanship and unconventional problem-solving.

The shop is equipped to handle concepts at any stage – from initial sketches to final production. Capabilities include CNC machining, welding and metalwork, woodworking, 3D printing, laser cutting, castings and molds, electronics integration, and software development. Beyond creating new products, I also help refine existing manufacturing processes – fine-tuning efficiencies, solving production challenges, and optimizing workflows.

Every project gets the same approach: thoughtful consideration from concept to composition, with an emphasis on quality and innovation. This is where ideas are taken seriously and executed with precision and rhythm.
